Cookouts on Sunset Rock, walking the trails of the Nature Center and fishing in Harris Lake. After Mother sold our original family home (built in 1881), I longed to reconnect with Highlands. In 2016 that opportunity presented itself! After a very short search Bennett and I fell in love with the site where Harvilla sits. We felt an immediate connection with the view of Sunset Rock that is recognizable from all points of town. Our plan was to wait… Plans changed. We built Harvilla within a year! No regrets..... In November 2019 Silver Lining surprised us! After a full renovation our Ugly Duckling became a beautiful Swan. We transformed a simple cabin into a luxury two bedroom two bath Mountain Cottage with gracious outdoor living! We are thrilled to be able to share Our Highlands Address!
